Don’t Forget

I’ll keep this post short today.

Here in the United States, it’s Memorial Day.

What is Memorial Day?

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for all who died in military service for this country.

In December 2000, a resolution was passed that requests Americans to voluntarily and informally observe their own moment of respect at 3 pm local time.  This is to encourage Americans to set aside time to honor, remember and reflect those who have given their lives for this country.

In addition to remembering our veterans and service members, I plan to spend today with my family.  I’ll cook some hotdogs and hamburgers and just relax.

Don’t forget what you learned

Later today I’ll take my son to the park and ask him where the bases are located.  We have a year before the next teeball season to begin and I don’t want him to forget anything he learned this year.
